Indri Anggraeni Putri, Siti Risma Wati, Sri Rahayu

This study aims to measure personality factors, family environment, and school conditions on students' learning process with a focus on learning. These three aspects are considered as important variables that interact with each other and contribute to improving student motivation and learning outcomes. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with an instrument in the form of a likert scale questionnaire which is distributed to students in elementary school. The results of the study show that students' personalities, such as a sense of responsibility, independence, and a spirit of learning, have a significant contribution in increasing learning effectiveness. Family factors, including parental support and a learning atmosphere at home, have also been shown to have a positive effect. Meanwhile, school aspects such as teacher attention, availability of facilities and comfort of the learning environment provide important structural support in the learning process. These findings confirm the importance of a holistic approach in improving the quality of learning where strategies between internal and external factors of students need to be optimally managed. The study method involved 240 students in primary school and used personality, family and school instruments.

PENGARUH KECEMASAN TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Tri yanti

This study aims to investigate the influence of anxiety on elementary school students’ attitudes toward learning mathematics. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach with path analysis through the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, data were collected via structured questionnaires distributed to students. The research focuses on two forms of anxiety: cognitive and somatic, and their relationship with students' attitudes toward mathematics. The findings reveal that cognitive anxiety significantly affects students' attitudes, whereas somatic anxiety does not have a direct impact. However, somatic anxiety strongly influences cognitive anxiety, indirectly shaping students’ attitudes. This suggests that negative thoughts and fears play a more decisive role in students' learning engagement than physical symptoms. These results underline the need for psychological and emotional interventions, teacher training, and supportive learning environments to address students’ anxiety early. The study contributes to the educational field by offering insight into how psychological dynamics influence learning and providing strategies to foster positive attitudes toward mathematics in elementary education.

Measuring Student Engagement in Primary Education: A Confirmatory Factor Analysis-Based Study

Amanda Maharani, Angel Kayla Althaf, Hanaya Qothrunada Zulfa

A critical challenge in primary education is the issue of diminished student engagement in the learning process, a factor that has a significant impact on both academic achievement and students' social-emotional development. The objective of this study is to develop and validate a student engagement instrument for elementary school students based on three main dimensions: behavioral, cognitive, and emotional. The present study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey design that involves 240 elementary school students. The analysis was conducted using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results of the analysis showed that the three dimensions of engagement had strong factor loadings, good convergent and discriminant validity, and high construct reliability. This model has demonstrated its capacity to reliably and contextually mirror the multifaceted nature of student engagement. This instrument is not only suitable for use in academic research but also as a diagnostic tool for teachers in designing more adaptive learning strategies. The findings of this study offer significant contributions to the ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of basic education. These contributions are best made through the implementation of more comprehensive monitoring mechanisms that effectively assess student engagement.

This research was conducted to help improve reading comprehension among elementary school students by developing an Android-based interactive learning media that includes local culture from Lampung. The goal was to create a digital learning tool that is easy to use and culturally relevant. The research used the ADDIE development model, which includes steps such as analyzing needs, designing the media, developing it, testing it in the field, and evaluating the results. The media was reviewed by experts in learning materials, media design, and language. Based on their feedback, the media was rated very suitable for use, with scores of 90% from the media expert, 91.6% from the content expert, and 93.3% from the language expert. Testing with students showed that the media helped them enjoy learning and better understand what they read. In conclusion, using digital learning tools that include local traditions can make learning more interesting and effective. This study contributes to science by showing how technology and local culture can be combined to support literacy in early education.

Comparative Analysis of Solar Science Teaching Materials, KTSP Curriculum and Independent Curriculum in Class VI

Sintiyani Fatikha Rizki

This study aims to analyze and compare science textbooks focused on the solar system for fourth-grade elementary school students. A literature review identifies several essential criteria that quality textbooks must fulfill. If deficiencies are found, revisions are necessary to ensure effective teaching. Science textbooks should also include activities that promote critical thinking among students. The research evaluates the content feasibility, language use, and presentation suitability of science textbooks aligned with the KTSP and Merdeka Curriculum regarding solar system material. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed, concentrating on science textbooks about the solar system for fourth-grade students. Data collection involves observation, documentation, and analysis of errors and conceptual accuracy within the textbooks. The findings reveal minor errors in the KTSP textbooks, particularly in language and presentation aspects. In contrast, the Merdeka Curriculum textbooks are deemed suitable as learning resources for sixth-grade students. Their comprehensive content, simple and understandable language, and engaging, interactive presentation make these books effective in supporting the learning process. Overall, the Merdeka Curriculum textbooks are more appropriate than the KTSP textbooks as teaching materials for elementary science.

Effect of Learning Motivation on Students' Social Skills in Social Science Learning in Elementary Schools

This study aims to examine the effect of learning motivation on students' social skills in learning Social Studies (IPS) at the elementary school level. This study used a quantitative correlational approach involving 42 fourth grade students from SDN Tanah Baru and SDN Simaja in Cirebon City. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS version 4.1.1.2 program. The results showed a positive and significant influence between learning motivation on students' social skills, with a calculated t value of 12.352 and a p-value of 0.000 which indicates a significant relationship at the 5% level. This suggests that students who are more motivated to learn tend to have better social skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, cooperate in group activities, and show respect for others' opinions. This finding is in line with Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory, which emphasizes the role of intrinsic motivation in encouraging positive social behavior. This study recommends that teachers foster student motivation through collaborative learning strategies, positive reinforcement and the creation of a supportive classroom environment to enhance academic and social development.

Pengaruh Minat Baca terhadap Siswa Kelas II SD Berdasarkan Aspek: Frekuensi, Kesenangan, Motivasi, Membaca, dan Ketertarikan

This study aims to analyze the influence of reading interest on grade II elementary school students based on five main aspects, namely reading frequency, reading pleasure, reading motivation, reading goals, and interest in reading. The research method used is a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis techniques through SmartPLS software. The sample consisted of 40 students from two elementary schools in Kesambi District, Cirebon City. The results showed that reading frequency and reading pleasure had a significant positive effect on student involvement in reading activities. On the other hand, reading motivation showed a negative effect on reading pleasure, indicating that external motivation can reduce students' intrinsic interest. The aspects of reading goals and interest in reading did not show a significant effect on overall reading interest. This finding is the importance of creating a fun literacy environment and encouraging intrinsic reading motivation in order to improve the quality of student learning from an early age.
