Abstract

Determining the degree of student learning independence in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) curriculum in class V elementary school is the goal of this study. Documentation, field notes, and semi-structured interviews with parents, teachers, and children at SD Negeri 2 Tegalwangi were used to gather data. This technique for gathering data is called a descriptive qualitative approach. According to the study's findings, students' strong interest, teachers' assistance as facilitators, and parents' participation in the educational use of digital media are the three key elements that promote independent learning. Students who receive responsibility training also improve their ability to manage their time and finish homework on their own. According to this study, student learning independence is influenced by the interaction between contextual support in the learning environment and internal motivation.
