Abstract
This research investigates how digital media exposure contributes to the development of grammar accuracy and reading comprehension in English Young Learners (EYL). With digital technologies becoming a regular aspect of children's everyday lives, it is crucial to examine their educational impact, particularly in relation to language acquisition. A quantitative methodology was adopted involving 240 EYL students who participated by completing a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed through Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to assess the simultaneous effects of digital media exposure on grammar accuracy and reading comprehension. The findings demonstrate that digital media usage significantly affects both grammar and reading performance. Descriptive statistics revealed a positive correlation, suggesting that greater exposure aligns with improved language outcomes. The instruments used were confirmed to be valid and reliable. MANOVA results reinforced the hypothesis by showing a statistically significant multivariate influence of digital media. These findings emphasize the benefit of incorporating digital media that is suitable for children's developmental stages in fostering their language proficiency, especially in grammar and comprehension. The study advocates for teaching strategies that effectively integrate technology and recommends further investigation into the types and quality of media utilized in language instruction.
