Abstract
This study investigates the effect of learning motivation on grammar accuracy and vocabulary mastery among EFL university students. Recognizing grammar and vocabulary as foundational elements of language proficiency, the research emphasizes the role of motivation as a key psychological factor influencing language acquisition. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 240 students via structured questionnaires. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was employed to analyze the influence of learning motivation—measured through intrinsic and extrinsic indicators—on two dependent variables: grammar accuracy and vocabulary mastery. The findings reveal a statistically significant impact of motivation on both linguistic competencies. Students with higher motivation demonstrated better grammatical accuracy and a broader lexical repertoire. These results highlight the pivotal role of motivation in language learning and offer practical implications for educators to integrate motivational strategies into EFL instruction.
