Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine how students' motivation to engage in volunteer work inside educational programmes is impacted by social responsibility and community involvement. Purposive sampling was utilised to pick 248 high school students as respondents in a quantitative study. The questionnaire instrument was created using theoretical measures of community involvement and social responsibility. It was then evaluated for construct validity using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and for validity using expert judgement. Cronbach's Alpha and McDonald's Omega coefficients were used in reliability tests. The findings demonstrated a multifaceted factor structure that identified cultural empathy, social justice orientation, and contextual awareness as important determinants of student volunteer motivation. The model demonstrated good explanatory power to the volunteer motivation variable (R2 = 0.998) and high reliability (α > 0.80). These results support the critical role that school-based social programmes and character education play in fostering prosocial behaviour in teenagers. In addition to serving as a foundation for the development of civic education curricula and policies, the created instrument offers a valid and accurate evaluation framework for gauging student volunteer motivation in educational settings.
