Abstract
This research investigates the influence of students' learning motivation on two essential aspects of English proficiency grammatical accuracy and vocabulary mastery in an EFL university context. Recognizing that grammar and vocabulary serve as the backbone of language competence, and that psychological factors like motivation play a crucial role in language development, the study focuses on how motivation affects these specific language skills. Utilizing a quantitative method with an explanatory approach, data were gathered from 240 EFL students through structured questionnaires. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was employed to assess the simultaneous effect of motivation on both grammar and vocabulary outcomes. The results show a strong link between higher levels of motivation and improved language performance, indicating that more motivated students are likely to achieve better grammar precision and a wider range of vocabulary. These findings highlight the importance of integrating motivational strategies into EFL teaching practices to support students’ linguistic growth.
