Abstract

This study investigates what features junior high school EFL learners perceive as influencing the difficulty of reading model paragraphs. Two hundred and seventy-nine junior high school students participated in a questionnaire regarding EFL learners' perceptions of what contributes to the ability to read model paragraphs. They answered the questionnaire on a scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree, addressing the two factors that influence their ability to read model paragraphs. The results showed that EFL learners' perceptions of the readability of model paragraphs did not significantly affect their perceptions of the readability of model paragraphs in the context of learning to write.
