Abstract

Abstract: Students are vulnerable to mental disorders that have a negative impact on their academic achievement, so they need self-efficacy to overcome this. Mental health as a belief in one's abilities in achieving goals and peer support as a belief in God that directs someone to behave positively have an important role in increasing self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between mental health and peer support with student self-efficacy. The research was conducted using a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis techniques using SMARTPLS assistance. The sample in this study was 240 people with an accidental sampling technique. The criteria are students. The instrument uses a mental health scale, a peer support scale and a self-efficacy scale developed by the researcher, data collection is carried out with the help of a google form via whatsapp and using a QR code directly. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between mental health and peer support on student self-efficacy, the independent variables simultaneously contributed 59.9% to the dependent variable. The partial hypothesis of the mental health variable shows a significant relationship to self-efficacy with a regression coefficient value of 0.956 and the peer support variable also shows a significant relationship to self-efficacy with a regression coefficient value of 0.499.
