Abstract

The existence of a good interaction relationship between teachers and students is the main factor in improving students' ability in learning English, school facilities and infrastructure are also supporting factors for the success of English learning. The method used was a quasi-experiment, involving 291 respondents consisting of students and university students aged 16-26 years. Data were collected through a questionnaire on the relationship between mastery and interaction of English teachers in schools and universities. The results showed that there were significant differences, this caused some unsuccessful learning, the causative factor was the lack of interaction and understanding of the teacher in the material being taught and the lack of infrastructure that supported learning.
